Keeping Our Eyes Above The Waves

Blame. The magician, David. Haha. This is a joke. We can blame everything and everyone under the sun but we cannot control everything and everyone. Seriously speaking, the Philippines has been traumatized by typhoons since 2009's Ondoy and now, a little pouring of rain, everybody just gets out of themselves. September 19, class was cancelled. Prior to that day, I was so exhausted that I wanted to stay with my pillows all day. God granted my wish! The problem came when I sneaked my head into our window and saw the ankle-deep flood just outside our house. "My flight, how's my flight?" I don't know why but I always wanted to experience this. When God says so, do so. I am a stone-head. If you could have any other superlative for hard-headed, please tag it to me. I never wanted to yield. When some rules are implemented, I always want to go against it because I don't want to go with where people are. I always wanted to be in white when everybody are in black. No dictation. God has told me to surrender "what-I-want-to-hold-back" back then. I tried to ignore the red flags and went head on. Consequences reaped. I don't want it to happen ever again. So, how do you follow what God says? When we don't do what we know we should do is the greatest tragedy. What's the sense of spending time in God's word listening to Him when after listening we won't do what He says. First, humble ourselves to God that we cannot do it on our own.
