Only one life, ’twill soon be past by C.T Studd

“Two little lines I heard one day,  Traveling along life’s busy way;  Bringing conviction to my heart,  And from my mind would not depart;  Only one life, ’twill soon be past,  Only what’s done for Christ will last. Only one life, yes only one,  Soon will its fleeting hours be done;  Then, in ‘that day’ my Lord to meet,  And stand before His Judgement seat;  Only one life,’twill soon be past,  Only what’s done for Christ will last. Only one life, the still small voice,  Gently pleads for a better choice  Bidding me selfish aims to leave,  And to God’s holy will to cleave;  Only one life, ’twill soon be past,  Only what’s done for Christ will last. Only one life, a few brief years,  Each with its burdens, hopes, and fears;  Each with its clays I must fulfill,  living for self or in His will;  Only one life, ’twill soon be past,  Only what’s done for Christ will last. When this bright world would tempt me sore,  When Satan would a victory score;  When self would seek to have its way,

FOMO times

A once in a lifetime opportunity slipped out of my hand. An NBA coaching clinic have I closed my eyes to. How many times has this happened to me? Either a gift certificate or perks card getting expired or not getting the tickets that you want for a basketball game or being out of a party you’ve been looking forward to go to or missing the first few part of your much-anticipated movie.  This week has been a miss-out-packed for me. I don’t know with you if you have the fear called FOMO which stands for, just google it. Haha. The first time I heard this word, whaaaat? I don’t care about what that means. But, it made an impact on me in view of the fact that I always wanted to be present in the championship games of my alma mater and even be the first person to visit the newest food buzz or any special event that I would share in my social media accounts. I was hauled over the coals. Proverbs 11:2 “Pride leads to disgrace,…” I felt very bad for missing the NBA coaching clinic though

Right of Way

Want to experience the fullness of Christ? Compromise no more. Don’t cooperate with the world and stop cutting on the edges because the whole piece will deteriorate and will soon eat up everything. God is faithful to provide a way out whenever we are tempted.  1 Corinthians 10:13 (NASB) No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and  God is faithful, who will not allow you to be  tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.  Resist temptation.  2 Timothy 2:22 Now  flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness,  faith, love  and  peace, with those who  call on the Lord  from a pure heart.   Faithful by Chris Tomlin So, how are we going to be pure? Fully surrender our lives to God. This takes humility. This is very hard for me at first well until now because I always want my own way. I’m never conforming to what others want that’s why when I barely knew Christ, I was
